Graphene

Graphene is a disruptive technology; one that could open up new markets and even replace existing technologies or materials. It has captured the attention of scientists, researchers and industry worldwide.

In simple terms, graphene, is a thin layer of pure carbon; it is a single, tightly packed layer of carbon atoms that are bonded together in a hexagonal honeycomb lattice.

Graphene has many extraordinary properties

  1. It is ultra-light yet immensely tough.
  2. It is 200 times stronger than steel, but it is incredibly flexible.
  3. It is the thinnest material possible as well as being transparent.
  4. It is a superb conductor and can act as a perfect barrier - not even helium can pass through it.

As a supplier of critical materials and equipment and machines for optoelectronics industry in China, with resources advantages, Dongxu Optoelectronics has made a graphene application development strategy, and is now exploring actively a industrialization and commercialization path.

In April, 2016, Dongxu Optoelectronics attended the 6th edition of Graphene Conference series, which is the largest European Event in Graphene.

Representative of Dongxu Optoelectronics made a speech in the industrial forum, which is the first time for a enterprise from China to made a speech in such a great global event for searching cooperation.

Dongxu Optoelectronics signed a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement with ICN2, a competitive international research institute, and  a leading centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology research in Europe, marking the graphene strategy of Dongxu Optoelectronics has entered into the process of globalization.

Sapphire

Manufactured sapphire is synthetic crystalline aluminum oxide that is transparent like glass, but harder.

Advantages of Sapphire

  1. Excellent optical characteristics, UV to IR
  2. High wear and scratch resistance
  3. High operating temperature (1800°C)
  4. Chemically inert
  5. High strength
  6. High electrical resistance
  7. High thermal conductivity

Applications of sapphire:

    1. Optics
    2. Engineered components
    3. Substrates
    4. High pressure windows
    5. Precision spheres

Tunghsu Group acquired majority share of Jiangsu Jeshine New Material Co., Ltd in 2014, which specializes in synthetic sapphire growing, shaping, grinding and polishing and it main products are 2~8 inch sapphire ingot, sapphire LED substrate, sapphire windows or scanners, display covers. Jiangsu Jeshine manufactured the largest Sapphire(170KG) of Asia in 2015, and its sapphire growing technology had achieved the international level.
